Principal’s Message – 17th June 2021

Principal’s Message:

Sacrament of Reconciliation

After weeks of preparation, our Year 3 candidates will be celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation next Tuesday 22 June, beginning at 6:00pm. We thank the parents and candidates for their commitment and efforts during the Reconciliation program and we thank the school staff and Fr Vincent for assisting with the preparation of the students and the celebration.

As part of the preparation in receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation, our Year 3 students engaged in a Reconciliation retreat day today, facilitated by Carl and Bridgette, from ‘Faith Retreats’. We hope they enjoyed the retreat and the opportunity to prepare for the celebratory Sacrament, next week.

SEQTA

Thank you to all of the families who have registered onto ‘SEQTA Engage’.  A reminder message has been sent to those families who have not done so yet; if you need assistance in getting registered and connected with ‘SEQTA Engage’, please contact the school office.

Cross Country

Unfortunately, the school Cross Country Carnival had to be cancelled on Tuesday, due to inclement weather. We have re-scheduled the School Cross Country carnival to be held next Tuesday 22 June, beginning at 1:00pm. Information regarding this will be sent out to families to inform you of the running times for each year level.

We wish all of the students the very best and hope they enjoy the run.

Kindergarten Information Session

Yesterday, we hosted the 2022 Kindergarten Information Session. It was great to see both existing and prospectus families attend the session and enjoy the tour of our wonderful school. Thank you to both Mrs Newbold, Mrs Hart and Michelle Stevenson for organising and presenting during the meeting.

For those families who missed the information session and would like to know more, please contact the school office for further information regarding the Kindergarten enrolment period for next year.
