Sacrament of First Holy Communion

This Sunday 11 June, some of our Year 4 students will be celebrating the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. We wish these candidates the very best as they take this very special and important step in their journey of faith, and thank their parents and school staff for the support and guidance they have provided throughout this preparation period.

Italian Assembly

Next Wednesday 14 June is the day for possibly one of the biggest events of the year; the Italian Assembly. After weeks of practice and preparation, the students are ready to entertain the community with a wonderful cultural experience.

All members of the school community are welcome to come along and enjoy the entertainment from this event. The Italian Assembly begins at 9:00am, in the Steve Dowie Hall.

Staff Professional Development Day

Last Friday 2 June, the school staff engaged in a Professional Development Day, which began with all staff participating in a workshop that focused on the Mental Health Literacy and Psychological First Aid for Students at Risk. Staff also discussed and identified the signs and observables of students at potential risk and requiring psychological first aid.

The second part of the day was spent developing and drafting our school ‘Staff Wellbeing Charter’, which outlines the non-negotiables in how the staff would like to feel and how they conduct themselves at school which promotes their safety and wellbeing. Both sessions were facilitated by CEWA Lead Psychologist, Shannon Stevens, and we are truly grateful for the time, effort and the way she presented the information for the day.

After experiencing problems with SEQTA in recent weeks, it seems the platform has been corrected. Please contact the office if you are still unable to reinstate the SEQTA App and/or login, as the office staff will be able to guide you through this process.
