Staff Professional Development Day
Last Friday 2 June, the school staff engaged in a Professional Development Day, which began with all staff participating in a workshop that focused on the Mental Health Literacy and Psychological First Aid for Students at Risk. Staff also discussed and identified the signs and observables of students at potential risk and requiring psychological first aid.
The second part of the day was spent developing and drafting our school ‘Staff Wellbeing Charter’, which outlines the non-negotiables in how the staff would like to feel and how they conduct themselves at school which promotes their safety and wellbeing. Both sessions were facilitated by CEWA Lead Psychologist, Shannon Stevens, and we are truly grateful for the time, effort and the way she presented the information for the day.
