Year 6 Confirmation Mass
This Sunday, beginning at 8:30am, our Year 6 students will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation during Mass at the St Damien’s Parish. We wish all of the Confirmation candidates the very best as they receive this very important Sacrament and take another significant step in their journey of faith.
Fr Chris will be the celebrant for the upcoming Confirmation Mass and has met with all of the Year 6 students to discuss the importance of the Sacrament and how it can assist them in leading a life of love and faith.

'R U Ok' Day.
Next Thursday September 14 is ‘R U OK Day’. All students are invited to wear something yellow as a free dress day to celebrate the day.
All parents are invited to join us for a shared picnic at lunch time, beginning from 1:15pm, on the oval, to share a lunch with your child/children. The P&F will be providing an icy-pole treat for the students to help celebrate the day.
Please refer to the flyer sent home earlier this week regarding ‘RU Ok’ day.
PSSA Interschool Athletics Carnival
Next Wednesday 13 September, we have a number of students competing in the Inter School Athletics carnival, being held at Mandurah Catholic College. We wish these competing students the very best and hope they enjoy the experience.
Training has been on this week before school and at recess and lunchtime for competing students and this will continue tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday of next week.
The back-up date for the Inter School Athletics carnival is Friday 15 September.

Yoh Fest
On Tuesday evening our fantastic school choir got the opportunity to perform in the ‘Yoh Fest’, held at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre. The students took centre stage to begin the event and did an amazing job performing the song, ‘Respect’. All students are to be congratulated for their efforts, and for being awarded ‘Runners-Up’ in the song contest. Well done to Mrs Burns for organising and preparing the choir for this event and thank you to all of the parents who were able to come along and support the event.

Behaviour Focus
This term, the school has introduced a behaviour focus for the students during play times. The purpose of having a focus is to be able to improve the safety and wellbeing of our students by teaching them the expected behaviours of the school and reminding the students why we have these rules in place. The current behaviour focus is, ‘No Running on the Bricks’.
School Calendar
Parents are encouraged to visit the school’s term planner on a regular basis to ensure you are informed about upcoming events during the year. The term planner can be accessed by clicking on the following link: School Events Calendar
