Inter House Athletics Carnival
The School Athletics carnival is being held this Friday 25 August. The carnival is for all students in Pre Primary to Year 6 and will officially begin at 9:00am. The weather seems to be looking very promising, so hopefully it makes for a great sunny day for the carnival.
An important notice to parents is that at the conclusion of the carnival, all students will return to their classrooms. Students are expected to stay for the entire Athletics Carnival, with all students returning to their classrooms at the conclusion of the carnival, where parents must sign them out, before leaving. Students will not be permitted to be collected by parents from faction bays to go home during the carnival, unless it has been pre-arranged with the student’s classroom teacher. All other students not being collected early will remain at school until the normal bell time of 3:00pm.
There will be a cake stall and BBQ for parents to buy food from. Please remember to bring cash along to make your purchases at the stalls as there is no eftpos available.
On the carnival day, students are permitted to wear zinc and hair ribbons in the colours of their factions, but hair paint is not permitted and not to be used, please.
A program of events has been shared with all families during the week; please take the time to read this and know the schedule of events for the students. We look forward to a fantastic day tomorrow for the athletics carnival and hopefully you all can come day and cheer on your child/children and their House Faction.
Jumps and Throws Day
On Tuesday, we had a fantastic day where some students in Years Pre Primary to Year 6 competed in the jumps and throws events of the carnival. Some students achieved some remarkable results and all students are to be commended for their efforts. We did have a number of parents who assisted with the jumps and throws and I sincerely thank them all for their support and help in making the day run so efficiently and smoothly.

Fathers Day Stall
Next Wednesday 30 August the Father’s Day Stall will be opened and available for students in Years Kindy to Year 6 to purchase something, in preparation for Father’s Day next weekend. The stall will also be opened on Friday 1 September, for students in 3YO Kindy to purchase something special and for other students throughout the school who missed their opportunity on Wednesday. Students will be able to purchase items from the Father’s Day Stall for between $1 and $7.
We thank the school P&F in advance, for providing this wonderful opportunity for the students and families in the school.
