Sacrament of First Holy Communion

Congratulations to all of the students who celebrated the Sacrament of First Holy Communion on Sunday. It was a beautiful Mass and we thank all of the parents and families involved for their support and commitment to the Sacramental program over the past few months.  I would also like to thank Fr Chris for celebrating the Mass, as well as all of the staff who attended and assisted with the Sacramental Mass and program.

On Monday, all of the First Holy Communion candidates got to celebrate the Sacrament back at school, by enjoying a First Holy Communion Cake, to mark this significant step in their journey of faith.

Next week our school community will be celebrating NAIDOC Week. The theme for NAIDOC Week in 2024 is, ‘Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud’.

‘Across every generation, our Elders have played, and continue to play, an important role and hold a prominent place in our communities and families.’

Our students will be participating in some events and activities throughout the week, to recognise and celebrate NAIDOC Week.

School Disco

Finally, the much anticipated School Disco is here, happening this Friday 21 June. Information has been sent to families via SEQTA regarding details of each of the disco sessions for students across the school. Please take the time to read this about the upcoming disco event and we look forward to a fantastic event.

PSSA Winter Sports Lightning Carnival

Tomorrow, Friday 21 June, a number of our Year 6 and Year 5 students will be competing in the PSSA Winter Sports Lightning Carnival. All of these sports are being played across the Mandurah region throughout the day and we wish all participating students the very best of luck and hope the enjoy the experience.

PSSA Inter School Sport

Last Friday, our Year 5 and 6 students competed against Ocean Road Primary School in the PSSA Winter Sports Competition. All students had a fantastic time representing the school in fantastic weather conditions. As a school we were very competitive across all sports and the students are to be congratulated for their efforts.

That was the last PSSA Winter Sports fixture for the year and we congratulate all of the students for the way they participated in these sports. We also thank the school staff who assisted with each of the teams over the term.
