Sacrament of First Holy Communion
Congratulations to all of the students who celebrated the Sacrament of First Holy Communion on Sunday. It was a beautiful Mass and we thank all of the parents and families involved for their support and commitment to the Sacramental program over the past few months. I would also like to thank Fr Chris for celebrating the Mass, as well as all of the staff who attended and assisted with the Sacramental Mass and program.
On Monday, all of the Year 4 students got to celebrate the Sacrament back at school, by enjoying a First Holy Communion Cake, to mark this significant step in their journey of faith.

Italian Assembly
On Wednesday the school hosted the ‘Italian Assembly’. This has traditionally been a very big event for the school and this year’s assembly was no different. All the students across the school were amazing in the way the presented and participated in their class assembly items and were very entertaining for all of the parents, friends and special guests who were able to view the assembly.
A lot of time and effort went into preparing for the ‘Italian Assembly’ and thanks goes to all of the staff and students for the way they practiced and rehearsed for the event. We also thank all of the families for assisting in ensuring the students were dressed correctly and prepared for the assembly. A special mention to Signora Bava, for her passionate and dedicated efforts in planning, practicing and preparing all of the students for the assembly and for ensuring every student in the school played some part.
To support the day, the students were able to participate in some of the life and culture of Italy, by playing bocci and soccer and also being able to view Ducati and Vespa motorcycles and come Italian bicycles. The students and staff were also treated to some traditional Italian food and we thank the canteen staff for all of their hard work in preparing this. This was an amazing day for everyone involved!

We wish the competing students the best of luck.
Interhouse Cross Country Carnival
The school is hosting the Cross Country carnival next Wednesday 21 June, for all students in Kindy to Year 6 to participate in. This is typically a fantastic event, where the students get to test their endurance running over the lengthy distances required.
Parents are welcome to come along and spectate the carnival. A ‘Parent Interhouse Cross Country Booklet’ has been shared with parents today, outlining the start times for each year level.
Please note that parents are permitted to take their child/children home after the cross country race, however they must collect the child/children from the classroom once the students have returned.
Looking at the weather forecast for next week, there is a possibility, at this stage, that the cross country carnival may need to be postponed due to anticipated wet weather. If it is cancelled, the back-up date for the carnival will be Wednesday 28 June, with the start times remaining the same as the original carnival planned.
School Disco
Much anticipation is accumulating for the upcoming School Disco, hosted by the P&F, on Friday 23 June. The P&F has sent out information via SEQTA and your child’s SeeSaw page. Please take the time to read this about the upcoming disco event.
SEQTA
After experiencing problems with SEQTA in recent weeks, it seems the platform has been corrected. Please contact the office if you are still unable to reinstate the SEQTA App and/or login, as the office staff will be able to guide you through this process.
School Calendar
Parents are encouraged to visit the school’s term planner on a regular basis to ensure you are informed about upcoming events during the year. The term planner can be accessed by clicking on the following link: School Events Calendar
